NONDA NEWMAN (LH)
A son of the great Hazelwood Conman, Newman combines two of the champion sires of camp draft horses in Australia – Docs Freckles Oak and Romeo – with two of the best sires of cutting and cow horses in America – Jewels Leo Bars and Rey Jay. And here is the icing on the cake: he carries two of the greatest mares in camp drafting, Lets Talk Later and Romance – both Queens of their Generation – as his dam and grand dam. Newman carries a number of legendary thoroughbred sires in his female family, including 3 crosses of the iconic Nearco, considered the father of the modern thoroughbred, and 3 crosses of tough Melbourne Cup winner Hall Mark. There are also 4 crosses of the influential Valais (sire of Young Valais) as well as the presence of Commandant (sire of Elliot’s Creek Cadet). Both sires have made an enormous contribution to the stock horse breed.
